Boas started his career with then Zimbabwe Reinsurance Company (Zimre) in June 2008 as a Trainee Underwriter. He rose through the ranks up to the position of Underwriter – Treaty Reinsurance, a position he held until February 2011 when he left to start join Colonnade Re (Now Waica Re Zimbabwe). He rose through the ranks to the position of Underwriting Manager responsible for Treaty, Facultative Business, Retrocession and Marketing. Boas joined the reinsurance broking as Divisional Manager, Marsh Reinsurance Zimbabwe and managed to propel the company into Life reassurance as well as penetrate the regional market.
Boas was appointed General Manager P&C Re Botswana in June 2022.
A graduate from the National University of Science and Technology (NUST), Boas holds a first-class Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) degree in Risk Management and Insurance. He is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, UK and holds the Chartered Insurer status with the same institute. He holds an MBA with Edinburgh, Heriot Watt University in the UK.
He has conducted training seminars on Reinsurance Principles, Treaty Pricing, Reinsurance Programme Design and Reinsurance Technical Accounting in many countries in Africa and has been and Examiner and Moderator of IIZ Reinsurance Principles and Practice paper. This wide exposure endows Boas with a wealth of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry.
Gofaone Letshwao is intrinsically a self-motivated individual who holds an Honors Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in Applied Business Computing from the University of Sunderland. She joined the Insurance space in 2015 as an intern for Alpha Direct Insurance Company after completing her studies. Her tenacity, passion, drive, positive influence, and commitment to the growth of the organization earned her a promotion to being a Senior Claims Underwriter in 2016, and subsequently an Assistant Manager- Claims from 2018, a position she held until she left Alpha Direct Insurance Company to join P&C Reinsurance Company as a Reinsurance Underwriter in April 2022. She completed further studies with University of South Africa (UNISA) to get certification in the insurance industry of which she obtained her COP – Short term in 2016 and her professional qualification of Associateship in Short Term Insurance in 2019.
She prides herself in being one of the Women in middle management who lead Alpha Direct Insurance Company, an organization she served for 7 years. She was part of the Standford Seed Transformation team that worked on Alpha Direct strategic transformation which included technological advancement from being a traditional insurance company to a insure-tech organization, and a Leadership Programme which drove her enrollment with the University of Stellenbosch Business School for her Women in Leadership Course. Her IT background and KPI’s following the Standfort Seed transformation Programme assisted in the integration of their new systems and the transformation the Claims team processes from being paper based to being complete paperless.
Ms Legae joined P&C RE in May of 2022. She assumed her role after having worked with Botswana Insurance Company (BIC) for the past 4 years where she served as a Branch Assistant and most recently Acting Branch Manager-Francistown Branch. She has over 6 years’ work experience in General Insurance. Ms Legae brings a wealth of knowledge and skills to P&C RE which will undoubtedly propel the company to greater heights.
Ms Legae holds a B Com (Hons) Risk Management and Insurance from National University of Science and Technology of Zimbabwe in collaboration with Ba Isago University and Post graduate Certificate in Enterprise Risk Management from Botswana Accountancy College. She also holds a Certificate of Proficiency in Short term insurance.

Responsible for the management of P&C Reinsurance Accounting and Administration Department, and processing of payments and receivables.
Education:
Tefo is a graduate Association of Accounting Technician, Post Graduate Diploma in Taxation (Botswana) and is studying towards Chartered Institute of Management Accountant. A member of the Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants, Tefo is a well-rounded accounting professional with over 13 years of experience in financial services. Tefo’s recent experience was in a Development Finance Institution – where he was the Assistant Accountant. Through his role he gained vast experience in managing loans administration, interest charges, arrears management, IFRS 9 ECL model computation; Financial Accounting and Tax Planning-Management of Payables and Receivables; providing assistance with Group Accounting Financials consolidation. Tefo brings invaluable experience and dynamism required in modern day financial space.
